Hi!![]() Hi there! I stumbled across the EHG during a burst of "I-must-find-out-about-this-brewing-beer-thing-on-google"-ing and I'm really interested in coming to the next meeting and hopefully getting into home brewing. My only reservation is that I'm not especially knowledgeable about beers - I'm an avid consumer and I'll happily appreciate beer at the drop of a nickel, but the ins and outs of brewing and the finer points of beer are not something that I possess. Should I bone up a bit more on the basics before dropping in, or does the guild cater to all levels of beer types? - Liam »

Hi!
Welcome Liam!
Drop in next meeting and see what its all about. I wouldn't stress out about brewing knowledge, if anything, you can get lots of your answers at the meeting. Try the others beers and ask lots of questions. Starting up is exciting, and sometimes challenging. If you like beer, you will like homebrewing as far as I'm concerned.
I'm not sure why its not as mainstreem as it could be here, but homebrewing sure is rewarding making your own and sharing it with family and friends is a fantastic experience.
Everyone has a starting point. Do NOT feel intimidated! All levels and experience is highly valued.
Hope to see you out there!
Great! I'll be there will
Great! I'll be there will bells on :)
Bah!
So I didn't look at the website again until tonight, at which point I realized that a) I have not made any potluck food and b) don't have any donateable food, with 30 minutes to spare before the whole thing begins. That being said, I'm taking a pass this time around - hope everyone has a great time and I'll see you for the January meeting!
