Article IV - Executive

Section 1 - Executive
The following positions make up the club's executive:
President
Vice-President
Secretary
Treasurer
Competition Chair
Newsletter Editor

Section 2 - Executive Responsibilities
President - This officer will normally conduct the meetings. He or she will be responsible for securing the meeting place. Often the president is the one who plans the meetings, arranging for an interesting demonstration or discussion. This officer reviews the financial records of the organization quarterly or as needed.

Vice-President - This officer assists the president. This person will organize the tasting portion of the meeting and insure that there is an adequate supply of beer.

Secretary - This officer keeps the minutes of the meeting (if necessary). The secretary also corresponds with other clubs.

Treasurer - This officer handles the finances. The treasurer collects the dues and sees that they are deposited in the club's accounts. The treasurer keeps the financial records. The treasurer maintains the club membership list.

Competition Chair - This officer is responsible for all aspects, arrangements, and organization of the club's annual competition.

Newsletter Editor - This officer edits and publishes the club's newsletter. The editor is responsible for soliciting articles from the membership.

Section 3 - Removal
Any officer of the club may be removed by the vote of a majority of the members. Such a vote must be recommended by at least two of the executive. Notification to the membership that an election will be conducted on the removal of an officer must be included in the regular notice of the monthly meeting.

Section 4 - Executive Resignation
Upon the resignation of an executive, the remaining executive shall select a person to take the responsibilities of the officer who left and this person shall serve out the remainder of the resigned officer's term.

Section 5 - Payment to Officers
No remuneration of honoraria are to be paid to the directors of the guild.
