Malt
Anybody interested in a group buy of malt?
Canada Malting sells a 25kg bag of 2-row pale ale malt for $25 + shipping from Didsbury. I use Brewhouse kits, and only need a 1lb or so for each batch, so 25kg is too much, but that's the smallest bag Canada Malting sells. I like the idea of getting the good stuff right from the malster rather than what's been sitting around somebody's shelf for who knows how long.

Base Grains
Really impressed by the south side winning wines store, just picked up a 55lbs bag of canadian 2row for 36-37 dollars. Very Reasonable.

Is shipping a flat rate or is it a fixed price per bag?
Do they provide more than 2-row? My group might be interested in it if they had cheap wheat malt, or pilsner, or even specialty grains as well.
